The Alberta hopper is a grain carrier created by and for the Province of Alberta to haul…grain. In 2015 the operations of a large portion of this fleet was suspended, subsequently leading to the storage of nearly 3 miles worth of the blue and yellow round bellies. Over time, some of them have been leased to other grain carriers, while others that haven’t been kept in storage, have met their scrapyard demise.
